"Start On Click" doesn't work in Presenter mode when using a remote control. PPT 2010

Software: PowerPoint 2010
This problem occurs in presenter mode on PowerPoint 2010 while using a Logitech Cube remote control. If I set the controls to start embedded videos automatically, when I go to the next slide with a video on it, I have no issues. But if I set the Playback controls to start "On click", the video won't start; instead, the first click goes to the next slide with a video on it, as it should, but the second click brings up the next following slide, it doesn't start the video. Any help would be greatly appreciated
